                                                        Artist Statement      

My work is rooted in my desire for love and communication.  I explore and articulate my own threshold moments of presence and transcendence that reflects those struggling experiences I experienced in my home country.

Having been forever awestruck by the sanctity of the natural world, I infuse my work with fluid organic elements to convey the essential equivalence between femaleness and the reproductive power of nature. Starting with automatic drawings in a tightly focused and disorienting way, I draw on an unconscious articulation for the familiar and a sense of strangeness, hoping to create a meditating space between my work and my audiences.
